Terms of Service

In plain English: we provide a planning calculator and a service to help you fund your insurance premiums through mutual fund investments. We don't guarantee returns. Your money stays in your own name. By using this site, you agree to the terms below.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using paymyinsurance.in ("the Website") or any service provided by Pay My Insurance ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

2. Who we are

Pay My Insurance is a premium coverage planning service operated by an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor based in India. We help individuals plan and fund the premium payments of insurance policies they already own, through systematic investment in SEBI-regulated mutual funds.

3. What we are NOT

We are not an insurance company. We do not sell, underwrite, or issue insurance policies.
We are not a Portfolio Management Service (PMS). We operate as a Mutual Fund Distributor.
We are not registered with IRDAI. Our service is investment-side only.
We do not guarantee returns. Doing so would violate SEBI regulations.
We do not hold your money. All investments are in mutual fund folios registered in your name.

4. Our service

We help you build a "Premium Reserve Fund" — a corpus of money invested in mutual funds that, once mature, can be used to pay the premiums of your existing insurance policies systematically. Our calculator provides an estimate based on assumptions (such as 8% annual returns) which are not guaranteed.

5. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old
You must be an Indian resident with valid PAN and Aadhaar
You must have completed mutual fund KYC through a SEBI-registered KYC Registration Agency
You must own at least one valid insurance policy if you wish to use our service for premium funding

6. Calculator and informational use

Our online calculator is provided for informational and educational purposes only. The figures it produces are estimates based on stated assumptions (such as an 8% annual return rate). Actual returns from mutual fund investments will vary based on market performance and may be higher or lower than the calculator estimates. The calculator does not constitute investment advice.

7. Investment risks

Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks. Please read all scheme-related documents carefully before investing. Past performance is not indicative of future results. The value of your investment can go up or down depending on market conditions.

By using our service, you acknowledge that:

Returns from mutual fund investments are not guaranteed
Your Premium Reserve may grow slower or faster than projected
In adverse market conditions, your reserve may temporarily fall below the projected target
You retain full responsibility for your investment decisions
You are responsible for paying your insurance premiums directly to your insurer until your reserve is mature and operational

8. Fees and charges

We earn our revenue primarily through trail commissions paid to us by mutual fund Asset Management Companies (AMCs) — a standard industry practice for Mutual Fund Distributors. You do not pay us directly for our standard service. The mutual fund's expense ratio (which you'd pay regardless of distributor) covers the trail commission.

Optional services such as one-on-one advisory consultations, surplus management, or success fees on excess returns may carry separate fees, which will always be disclosed transparently before you opt in.

9. Your responsibilities

Provide accurate and truthful information when using our service
Maintain the validity of your underlying insurance policies (we plan around them but do not control them)
Keep us informed of any changes to your insurance policy terms, premiums, or status
Ensure your bank account has sufficient funds for scheduled contributions
Notify us promptly of any errors or discrepancies you observe

10. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including the Pay My Insurance brand, logo, calculator, copy, and design — is owned by us or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, or commercially redistribute any of it without our written permission.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pay My Insurance shall not be liable for:

Investment losses arising from market fluctuations
Premium lapses caused by your failure to maintain contributions or follow our recommendations
Indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
Errors or delays caused by third-party platforms (banks, AMCs, KRAs, BSE StarMF, MF Central, etc.) outside our reasonable control

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

12. Termination

You may discontinue using our services at any time. Your Premium Reserve remains in your own mutual fund folio and is fully accessible to you regardless of whether you continue to use Pay My Insurance. We may also terminate or suspend access to users who breach these Terms, attempt fraud, or use our service for unlawful purposes.

13. Grievance redressal

If you have a complaint, please write to us at keshav@paymyinsurance.in. We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 14 working days. For unresolved complaints related to mutual fund transactions, you may escalate to SEBI SCORES (scores.sebi.gov.in).

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

15. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
