This Privacy Policy applies to Pay My Insurance ("we", "us", "our"), a premium coverage planning service operated from India. We are accessible via the website paymyinsurance.in. We are an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor and are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
2. What data we collect
We collect the following types of personal data:
- Information you provide directly: Name, mobile number, email address, and any insurance policy details you share with us through our calculator, contact form, or consultation.
- Information collected automatically: IP address, device type, browser type, pages visited, and how you interact with our website. This is collected via Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity for service improvement.
- Calculator inputs: Premium amounts, policy terms, and contribution preferences you enter into our calculator. These are used in real-time to generate your personalised plan and are not stored unless you explicitly start an account or share them with us.
- KYC information (only if you become a customer): PAN, Aadhaar reference, bank account details, and identity proofs required by SEBI/AMFI regulations for mutual fund investments. This is collected through SEBI-registered KYC Registration Agencies, not stored directly by us.
3. How we use your data
- To provide you with our Premium Reserve planning service
- To respond to your enquiries via WhatsApp, email, or phone
- To facilitate mutual fund investments on your behalf (if you become a customer)
- To send you service-related updates about your plan
- To improve our website, calculator, and overall service quality
- To comply with applicable laws including the DPDP Act, SEBI regulations, and AMFI guidelines
4. How we protect your data
We implement reasonable security practices including:
- Encrypted communication (HTTPS) on our website
- Limited access to personal data — only authorised personnel can view it
- No commingling of customer money with our operating accounts (your investments always stay in your own MF folio)
- Industry-standard authentication for any partner platforms we use (BSE StarMF, MF Central, KYC Registration Agencies)
5. Sharing your data
We do not sell your data to third parties. We share it only with:
- SEBI-registered Mutual Fund houses (AMCs) when you invest, as required to process your transactions
- KYC Registration Agencies for identity verification
- BSE StarMF / MF Central for routing your transactions
- Service providers that help us operate our website (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, our hosting provider Hostinger), under strict confidentiality terms
- Government or regulatory bodies when legally required
6. Cookies and tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies through Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. These help us understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. We anonymise IP addresses and do not track personally identifiable information through these tools. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.
7. Your rights under the DPDP Act
As an Indian Data Principal, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct or update any inaccurate data
- Erase your data, subject to legal retention requirements
- Withdraw consent for any data processing you previously agreed to
- File a grievance if you believe your rights have been violated

8. Data retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services to you and to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. KYC and transaction records are retained as per SEBI/AMFI mandated periods. Marketing-related data is deleted within 12 months of your last interaction unless you remain an active customer.
9. Children's privacy
Our service is intended for adults aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has shared personal data with us, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated to existing customers via email.
